As-salamu ‘alaykum .... welcome in peace
Welcome to the Abu Bakr Jamia Masjid of Southampton, one of the largest Mosques in the south of England. The Masjid was built through the tireless efforts of the Muslims of Southampton, who continue to manage the day-to-day running of the Masjid.
Although the Masjid adheres to the Hanafi madhab, Muslims of all denominations and nationalities, as well as non-Muslims are most welcome to attend prayer and participate in the many Islamic study circles, classes and events currently taking place.
The diversity of Muslims from so many different nationalities, cultures and languages who attend the Masjid is a reflection of the Abu Bakr Masjid's open and welcoming atmosphere. We want to maintain that inclusive and vibrant environment and invite you to join us for prayer!
